The Executive Committee met last night and reviewed the six applications for “replacement” moorings which have recently been put on “hold”.
The decision of the EC is to revoke the approvals for these six at this time.
These six are in the Squadron office and are denoted as “Cancelled” and have been signed by Vice Commodore, David Curry.
Please advise each of these applicants of the revocation and please inform any divers who may be planning to do the installation work that these moorings are not approved and must not be installed.
Thanks for your assistance on this matter.
The EC has also been apprised that the Dead Boat Storage Committee will expand its work to begin to include identification of “Dead Boats” in the mooring field. It is hoped that some boats will be identified as “non compliant” and will leave the mooring field.
With this attrition, we may be able to reduce the current reported number of 120 moorings back to the 115 that were recently indicated on our 2/15/07 application to the state.
Feel free to contact me or any of the EC members if you have any questions.
Regards,
Alan
